 Turkish Investment Initiative (TII)

Turkish Investment Initiative (TII) is a financial platform established on November 13, 2007 as Türkiye’s first private funds of fund and co-investment program with the aim of ensuring the healthy growth of the venture capital sector in Türkiye, increasing the capacity in this field and thus providing the growth capital needed by innovative enterprises at international standards.

At the time of its establishment, the Company's name was Istanbul Venture Capital Initiative (iVCi) and it bore the same name as the name of the only sub-fund within its structure. However, with the introduction of the second sub-fund, the Turkish Growth and Innovation Fund (TGIF), in 2016, the Company's name was changed to Turkish Investment Initiative.

There are two Sub-Funds on the Turkish Investment Initiative platform:

I- Sub Fund A: İstanbul Venture Capital Initiative (iVCi)

iVCi's major partners are KOSGEB and the European Investment Fund (EIF) with a commitment of €50 million each, of which €60 million was shared between the Technology Development Foundation of Türkiye (TTGV), the Development and Investment Bank of Türkiye (TKYB), Garanti Bank and NBG National Bank of Greece.


II- Sub Fund B: Turkish Growth and Innovation Fund (TGIF)

In order to support TGIF with innovative, technology-oriented and rapid growth potential; The Ministry of Treasury and Finance, KOSGEB and EIF each participated with a commitment of EUR 60 million, while the Industrial Development Bank of Türkiye (TSKB) signed a commitment of EUR 20 million.

Bilişim Vadisi Venture Capital Investment Fund is a venture capital investment fund that was founded in 2020 by Albaraka Asset Management and aims to invest in enterprises in all phases starting from early stage. Fund period is 10 years.

 

Regional Development Fund

Türkiye Development Fund (TKF); was founded in 2019 by Development and Investment Bank of Türkiye (TKYB) in form of fund of funds structure. TKF, by establishing sub-funds, aims to provide enterprises’ access to finance via capital and structured finance investments in high growth potential enterprises.

Regional Development Fund (BKF) was established in 2020 as a sub-Fund of TKF, for supporting growth of small and medium sized enterprises via capital and management expertise to create competitive and sector leader companies in regional and global markets. BKF focuses on growth and development oriented medium sized enterprises and regional SMEs to invest. Fund period is 8 years.
