During the meeting with the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Industry, KOSGEB Vice President Bilal Kendirci was also present.
Preparations for the Establishment of R&D Institute
During the meeting, collaboration opportunities between Northern Cyprus and Turkish SMEs were discussed. Agreement was reached on the establishment of an R&D institute and the annunciation of KOSGEB's B2B events to SMEs in Northern Cyprus through the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Industry.
President Kurt emphasized the measurement of SMEs' digital maturity and the need to enhance the support schemes for the efficiency of energy motors. He continued his speech as follows:
"The inter-company matching and technology transfer issues are realities of our era, especially for SMEs. After our team works on this matter, we will address it. We will continue to collaborate with Northern Cyprus, just as we have done in the past and are doing today. We intend to take significant steps in this regard.
Furthermore, we give importance to collaboration within the framework of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Organization of Turkic States. We have accelerated our efforts in this regard.”
Collaboration with Universities for Employment is On The Way
Ali Kamacıoğlu, the Chairman of the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Industry, expressed gratitude to President Kurt for his hospitality. He conveyed their intention to work on harnessing the potential of university students in Northern Cyprus, developing employment through entrepreneurship, and formulating an educational plan. He also expressed the desire for continuous collaboration with KOSGEB.
