KOSGEB will share its 30 years of experience with Sudan

KOSGEB President Cevahir Uzkurt visited  Yousif Elkordafani, Ambassador of Sudan to Turkey. During the meeting, the process of establishing a KOSGEB-like institution in Sudan was discussed. President Uzkurt stated that KOSGEB has nearly 30 years of experience and the organization is ready for all kinds of cooperation in establishing a similar structure according to the needs of Sudan.

Memorandum of Understanding

An MoU was signed between KOSGEB and Sudan Ministry of Industry during President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's official visit to Sudan in 2017 in order to support the commercial relations of SMEs operating in the countries.

Action Plan

An action plan was prepared to determine the activities to be carried out within the scope of the Memorandum of Understanding. In line with this plan, KOSGEB President Uzkurt visited the Embassy of Sudan in Ankara.

Process Has Started

Ambassador Elkordafani expressed his pleasure for hosting KOSGEB President Uzkurt and stated that the process for establishing a KOSGEB-like institution has started in Sudan.

Experience of KOSGEB

President Uzkurt stated that KOSGEB is ready to collaborate and share its experiences  with the Sudanese counterparts on the establishment phase of such an institution.

Study Visit

At the meeting, it was determined to conduct a study visit by KOSGEB to Sudan as soon as possible.

South Sudan Surprise

There was also a surprise in the meeting. South Sudan's Ambassador to Ankara Majok Guandong also attended the meeting and talked with President Uzkurt for a while.
