Salih Tuna ŞAHİN
-KOSGEB Vice President
Born in Yozgat in 1972, Mr. ŞAHİN obtained his high school diploma from TED Ankara College in 1990 and bachelor degree from METU Engineering Faculty, Metallurgical Engineering Department in February 1995.
After working in different positions in TSE between 1995 and 1999, and as adviser to the Minister of Industry and Trade in 1999, he has been in different services in KOSGEB since August, 2000. These services include president advisory, acting presidency and vice presidency. Since January 2018, he is continuing to serve as vice president of KOSGEB.
During his service in TSE, he worked as calibration expert, quality and environmental management trainer and as chief auditor. Within 2007-2015 he was vice chairman of board of director of “Credit Guarantee Fund (KGF A.Ş). He worked as a board member of “Technology Development Foundation of Turkey (TTGV)” within 2012-2016. During the years 2014-2016 he was vice president of the Business Council of “Conference on Cooperation and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), and within 2016-2017 he was independent board member of KOBI Inc. He also worked as a member of MEKSA Foundation and TÜBİTAK-MAM Advisory Board. He was lead reviewer at OECD Eurasia Competitiveness Program in the area of "SME Policy and Access to Finance" in three different countries.
Mr. ŞAHİN currently serves as chairman of the Board of Directors of Istanbul Venture Capital Initiative (İVCİ), board member of Turkey Research and Business World (TURBO - ppp) Brussels, chairman of Technical Committee of TSE Management Systems and member of TED Ankara College Alumni Association.
Married with 2 children, Mr. ŞAHİN has very good command of English and intermediate level French as foreign languages.
