KOSGEB President Prof. Dr. Cevahir Uzkurt welcomed Iran's Ambassador to Ankara Muhammed Farazmand and his delegation.

At the meeting held under the Presidency of KOSGEB, cooperation opportunities between the SMEs of the two countries and the action plan which is planned to be signed between KOSGEB and its equivalent institution ISIPO were discussed.

Action Plan Will Be Signed

KOSGEB President Prof. Dr. Uzkurt stated that the two countries have deep-rooted and concrete relations and added, “Relations between KOSGEB and ISIPO have been continuing since the memorandum of understanding was signed in 2006. We renewed this memorandum of understanding in 2015. Our wish is to define concretely what will be done in the next period with the action plan which we will sign with ISIPO. About this, our friends held a meeting. We want to sign this action plan in a very short time. "

B2B Events

Underlining the importance of organising B2B events in order to ensure cooperation between SMEs of the two countries, KOSGEB President Uzkurt stated, “One of the items of the action plan which will be signed is to organize B2B events. We want to realize this as soon as possible. "

Invited to Iran

Iranian Ambassador Farazmand, notedthat "both countries are in close relationship with public and private organizations. Last year, the 27th meeting of the joint economic commission between Turkey and Iran was held. One of the decisions taken there was about preparing an action plan between KOSGEB and ISIPO. In this context, your visit was planned, but this could not happen due to the coronavirus conditions. ".

Ambassador Farazmand invited KOSGEB President Uzkurt to Iran. Uzkurt also stated that he wanted to visit Iran as soon as possible after the pandemic.
