COOPERATION WITH AZERBAIJAN

Representatives of Small and Medium Entrepreneurship Promotion Agency of Azerbaijan (KOBIA) visited Ankara. During the visit, cooperation between SMEs of two brother countries was discussed and it was emphasized that KOSGEB was ready to share its experiences in this field with KOBIA.

Azerbaijani Delegation held official talks to gather information about Turkey’s SME Policy and Support Mechanisms between 3rd and 5th of December, 2018. Under the program, Azerbaijani Delegation visited other  institutions that shape the SME Eco-System of Turkey along with KOSGEB  like Ministry of Industry and Technology, TUBITAK, Credit Guarantee Fund, Turkey Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges and OSTIM Administration. Delegation also visited KOSGEB OSTİM Directorate and some SMEs which have benefited from KOSGEB support programs.

During the opening speech of the program, KOSGEB Vice President Salih Tuna Şahin expressed his pleasure about hosting the Azerbaijani Delegation. Emphasizing that SMEs are one of the most  important actors of economic development for all countries, Şahin  stated that KOSGEB is ready to share its experience with its Azerbaijani counterpart.

KOBIA Vice President Elçin İbrahimov expressed his pleasure about being in Turkey and stated that the experience of KOSGEB will open up new horizons for KOBIA. İbrahimov also stated that in scope of the MoU which is planned to be signed between KOSGEB and KOBIA, cooperation activities will be carried out effectively and efficiently.
