II. Joint Economic Commission Meeting has been carried out on May 10-11, 2018 in the co-moderation of Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu and Afghanistan Minister of Commerce and Industry Humayoon Rasaw. At the end of the meeting Memorandum of Understanding between KOSGEB and Afghanistan Ministry of Trade and Industry has been signed.

Cooperation between the two countries for SMEs has been established by the agreement which is signed by KOSGEB President Prof.Dr. Cevahir Uzkurt as a result of two days of negotiations taking place with various Public Institutions.

Minister Soylu expressed his appreciation for signing a Memorandum of Understanding for SMEs, while Minister Rasaw who honored KOSGEB with his visit the same day, stated that they attach special importance to the issue with regard to Afghanistan's SMEs place in economy and development, and cooperating with KOSGEB will contribute greatly to them.
