Turkey - Djibouti Joint Economic Commission (JEC) 4th semester meeting was held in Ankara on 18-19 February 2020. In the margins of the JEC meeting; the Memorandum of Understanding was signed on February 19, 2020 between KOSGEB and the Leadership and Entrepreneurship Center (CLE) that supports SMEs in Djibouti.

As a prelude to our work, within the scope of the signed Memorandum of Understanding, the delegation of 10 persons including Djibouti Ankara Ambassador Aden Houssein Abdillahi and the General Director of Leadership and Entrepreneurship Oubah A.Malow, headed by the Minister of Economy and Finance of Djibouti, a study visit to KOSGEB was conducted.

President Prof Dr. Cevahir UZKURT delivered an opening Speech to the Djibouti delegation, and in the presentations made to the Djibouti Delegation detailed information about the structure, functions and especially the Entrepreneurship support models and international activities of the KOSGEB were provided.

KOSGEB emphasized its readiness to cooperate with the friendly country Djibouti in the field of SMEs. During the afternoon session of the Program, field visits were organized for the delegation.

Djibouti Minister Dawaleh underlined  that the Memorandum of Understanding signed with KOSGEB is of great importance for the Djibouti government, and continued his remarks that they have a lot to learn from KOSGEB's experience and achievements.

The visit of the delegation with the belief that it will accelerate the economic and commercial relations bilaterally, was quite welcomed by KOSGEB.
