An action plan signed between Belarus and Turkey for cooperation in the field of SMEs. KOSGEB President. Dr. Cevahir Uzkurt who signed the action plan on behalf of the Turkish side, said, “We will be very glad to take part in the establishment of an institution like KOSGEB in Belarus”

Lasted Two Days

Turkey - Belarus Joint SME Working Group 3rd Meeting ended. At the end of the two-day meeting, an action plan was prepared on the basis of a memorandum of understanding signed between the countries in 2012.

Contribution to Trade

The signing ceremony was held after the talks. At the ceremony, KOSGEB President Uzkurt expressed his great satisfaction for signing the action plan at the same day with visit from Belarus to Turkey at Presidential level after 20 years “I believe that the work to be carried out in the framework of the action plan will provide a major contribution to our mutual trade." he added.

Business Interviews

Expressing that B2B meetings and expert exchange programmes will be organized till the next working group meeting, Uzkurt said that “We will be delighted to take part in the establishment of a KOSGEB-like institution in Belarus.”

Irina Babachenok, General Director of Entrepreneurship at the Ministry of Economy of Belarus, expressed her gratitude for the presentations made by KOSGEB during past two days. “I believe that we will carry out better studies in the future.” she said.

Expert Exchange

After the speeches, KOSGEB President Prof. Dr. Uzkurt and Ministry of Economy of Belarus General Director of Entrepreneurship Babachenok signed an action plan. According to this agreement, foreign business trips and bilateral business negotiations will be organized for the SMEs of the two countries. Activities such as exchange of experts and study visits will be carried out between the two countries.
