Ambassador of Sudan visited KOSGEB to discuss cooperation opportunities.

Ambassador of Sudan to Ankara Yousif Elkodafani visited to KOSGEB to discuss cooperation in the SMEs area. The ambassador noted the need for cooperation on agricultural production and livestock, reminding the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two countries on December 24, 2017. He also stated that it’s a pleasure Turkish SMEs will invest in Sudan in these areas.

KOSGEB President Uzkurt stated that it’s possible to start activities in the prominent sectors in Sudan and it’s important to prepare a strategic route map for SMEs in Sudan, adding that KOSGEB is ready to convey the experiences in this area.

During the official visit of President Recep Tayip Erdoğan to Sudan, Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Sudan Ministry of Industry and KOSGEB on December 24, 2017 for supporting the trade relations between the two countries' SMEs. In this context, the draft Action Plan, which is a road map, was prepared and delivered by KOSGEB to the Sudanese side.

The Ambassador invited the KOSGEB delegation to Sudan before the meeting of the two countries' presidents in December 2018, emphasizing the importance of conducting on-site inspections.
